How to have a G-Spot orgasm

No, you don’t have a sexual unicorn hidden in your knickers, it’s just your G-Spot!

Why is it called the G-Spot?

The G-Spot is a well-debated, often elusive erogenous zone that many claim doesn’t exist, despite the overwhelming evidence that it does. Perhaps this is because the name is rather misleading; rather than being a “spot” as such, the G-Spot is an area within the vaginal canal.

First discovered in the 17th century by Dutch physician Regnier de Graaf, the G-Spot was first reported by German gynecologist Ernst Gräfenberg, inventor of the intrauterine device (IUD).

Despite focusing his research largely on urethral stimulation during the 1940s, in 1950 he stated that “the anterior wall of the vagina along the course of the urethra” could be cited as an example of an erogenous zone.

It wasn’t until 1981 that the term “G-Spot” was cited by Addiego et al, and again by Alice Kahn Ladas and Beverly Whipple et al. in 1982. The term was popularised in the book The G-Spot and Other Recent Discoveries About Human Sexuality by Ladas, Whipple and Perry published that same year.

Where can I find my G-Spot?

While it can vary from woman to woman, the G-Spot is typically located within 2-3 inches inside the vagina on the “front wall” of the vaginal canal. It is often described as having a “walnut-like” texture, so don’t worry if yours is a little further back or forward – everyone is different.

While many women find it highly arousing when this area is stimulated, 70% of women need clitoral stimulation to achieve an orgasm, so don’t panic if “hitting the spot” isn’t enough for you!

How can I stimulate my G-Spot?

Using one or two clean fingers, you can stimulate your G-Spot during masturbation alone or with a partner watching, so you can show them how you like to be touched. Rather than inserting your fingers straight into your vagina, curving them upward slightly will deliver more direct stimulation to your G-Spot and will allow you to stimulate it however you like.

Some women prefer gentle caresses and languid strokes, others enjoy faster, harder stimulation combined with clitoral stimulation too.

Although women all have different sexual preferences, intense stimulation of the G-Spot can cause some women to experience female ejaculation, also known as “squirting”, which can feel incredibly satisfying!

Due to its location, the G-Spot can also be stimulated with phallic shaped sex toys such as dildos and vibrators, as well as during sex with a male partner or a female partner wearing a strap-on.

What are the best sex toys for G-Spot stimulation?

Most internal sex toys will offer some degree of G-Spot stimulation, however not all toys are cut out for the task! Many G-Spot specific vibrators have a curved shaft, or are flexible enough to be moved into the correct position for more direct stimulation.

The OhMiBod Cuddle is also a great first-time vibe for beginners as it is small, sleek and designed with your erogenous zone in mind! It has a fairly realistic design with a slightly flared tip that is specifically designed for more direct G-Spot stimulation, while its slim shaft allows for ample thrusting!

The Rocks-Off Dalia is a battery operated sex toy designed with a slight curve, perfectly shaped to stimulate you G-Spot, a two in one sex toy with a removable silicone cover!

The Calexotics Eden Ripple is a powerful battery operated vibrator with an incredibly flexible curving shaft and G-spot shaped head allowing precision stimulation of both your clitoris and your G-Spot. The pleasure ridges on the head add extra sexual stimulation to your pleasure spots.

Another great product is the Fun Factory Tiger G5, which enhances your sex play with its textured shaft and hits your G-Spot with its gently curved tip.

Rabbit vibrators are also great for G-Spot stimulation as they have the added bonus of clitoral stimulation if you need a little extra help achieving an orgasm. The Fun Factory Miss Bi is a fabulous first-time rabbit product due to its small size, and it has an ingenious design that will fit your curves beautifully.

If you prefer a Rabbit vibrator that is completely flexible, both Rocks-Off Enigma and Ava by Jil fit the bill. Rocks Off have considered the natural contours of the human body in mind when designing the ergonomically shaped flexible Enigma Rabbit vibrator and the Ava has been designed with precision using new advanced silicone flex technology to create incredible softness and endless flexibility to adjust perfectly to the shape of your body.

The sensitive handle orientation of the Enigma allows pressure to be easily applied against the G-spot with a gentle downwards motion, allowing you to discover the ideal sexual stimulation just for you.

Ava is completely flexible, so fits to almost any body shape. I love the thumb shape of the ear, which flexes and stays on your clitoris whilst the shaft is designed to offer a feeling of fullness which feels pleasurable due to the slight give in the silicone and incredible flexibility .

The LELO Ina Wave is another brilliant G-Spot rabbit vibrator as it uses innovative LELO Wave technology to enhance stimulation with “come hither” motions that mimic a lover’s touch for pleasure sensations like never before!

If you prefer non-vibrating sex toys consider a gorgeously designed metal dildo such as the njoyFun Wand Metal Dildo, an incredible G-spot and P-spot stimulator.

Glass dildos such as Icicle no. 53 has a round, bulbous head, great for G-spot or P-spot stimulation and a textured shaft for added sexual sensation.

Heated gently in warm water or cooled down in the fridge, metal and glass sex dildos offer a completely different sexual sensation and are ideal for precision G-spot stimulation too.

While everyone is different, there are lots of sex toys out there to help you to hit the spot!
